This post is from TxDOT to notify you on new lane closures for the SH146 project:
There will be short-term (5 to 10 minute) full intersection closures at the 6th Street and FM518 intersections with SH146 from 9:00am to 3:00pm on 12/4/19 and 12/5/19. Police officers will be used to temporarily stop traffic while new signal cables are strung across the intersections.
The outside (right) southbound lane on SH146 will be closed from NASA Road 1 to the Clear Creek Bridge (Seabrook/Kemah Bridge) daily through 12/6/19 from 9:00am to 3:00pm. This closure is for hauling construction materials and debris.
Main Street in Seabrook will have alternating lane closures at SH146 from 9:00am to 3:00pm on 12/4/19. This closure is to install sanitary sewer. Flaggers and police officers will be used as-needed to maintain two-way traffic.
Capri Lane in Seabrook will have alternating lane closures at SH146 from 9:00am to 3:00pm on 12/4/19. This closure is to install concrete storm sewer under the road. Flaggers and police officers will be used as-needed to maintain two-way traffic.
Kenneth Royal in Seabrook will have alternating lane closures at SH146 from7:00am to 6:00pm on 12/7/19. This closure is to install concrete storm sewer under the road. Flaggers and police officers will be used as-needed to maintain two-way traffic.
1st Street in Seabrook will be fully closed at SH146 from 7:00am to 6:00pm on 12/5/19 and 12/6/19. This closure is to install concrete storm sewer under the road. Detours are as follows:
To reach SH146, detour to westbound Main Street.
To reach 1st Street from SH146, detour onto eastbound Main Street and then turn left on Cook Street or any of the other side streets.
10th Street / Shipyard Drive / Waterfront will be fully closed under the SH146 Clear Creek bridge (Seabrook/Kemah bridge) daily through the end of December except Sundays and holidays, from 9:00am to 3:00pm each day. This closure is to create a work zone for bridge widening structural work. Message boards will be placed to assist with directing traffic.
The connector ramp from SH146 SB will be closed to all traffic except to and from the Seabrook Marina & Shipyard.
Traffic on SH146 SB trying to get to 10th Street / Shipyard Drive on the east side of the bridge will be directed eastbound on Main Street in Seabrook, then right on Todville Road.
Traffic on 10th Street / Shipyard Drive on the east side of the bridge trying to get to SH146 SB or the Seabrook Marina and Shipyard will be directed north on Todville Road, then turn left on Main Street in Seabrook, then left at SH146.
BRIDGE DECK:
The outside (right) northbound lane on SH146 will be closed for at least 36 consecutive hours on the existing Clear Creek Bridge (Seabrook/Kemah Bridge)from 11:00pm 12/5/19 through approximately 12:00pm 12/7/19. The first 12 hours of this closure will allow for pouring a new section of bridge deck for the northbound widening. The following 24 hours of this closure are to minimize vibrations that could cause cracking in the newly poured deck. The inside (left) lane will remain open so no detour is needed. Expect delays during the morning rush hour periods.
These closures are subject to change if needed due to weather. Uniformed Police Officers will be onsite to assist if needed.
