This post is to notify you of new lane closures for the SH146 project:
FULL ROADWAY CLOSURES:
*REMINDER* 1st Street in Seabrook will be fully closed at SH146 from 7:00am to 6:00pm daily from 3/2/21 to 3/5/21. This closure is for storm sewer installation. No off duty police officers are anticipated to be used in this closure. Traffic will be guided around the closure using message boards. The detours are as follows: Southbound traffic on SH146 that would turn left onto 1st Street will instead turn left onto Main Street at the signal, then turn left on any of the following side streets to reach 1st Street. Traffic on 1st Street attempting to reach SH146 will be directed toward Anders, Cook, or Moskowitz, where they can then turn right onto Main Street to reach SH146.
FM518 will be fully closed (both directions) just west of SH146 5:00am Monday 3/8/21 through 5:00am Friday 3/12/21, and 5:00am Monday 3/15/21 through 5:00am Friday 3/19/21. This closure is for construction of bridge columns. 6 off duty police officers are anticipated to be used in this closure.
Detour for traffic on SH146: FM518 can be accessed by turning west on SH96, then north on FM270 until you reach FM518.
Detour for traffic on FM518: turn south on Kemah Avenue, then east on Bel Road. (Kemah Avenue also known as Evergreen Memorial Parkway. Bel Road also known as Ralph Gordy Avenue)
An alternate detour will be set up for traffic coming from further west: SH146 can be reached by traveling south on FM270 and then east on SH96.
LANE CLOSURES:
The outside (right) southbound lane on SH146 will be closed between Repsdorph Road and NASA Road 1 in Seabrook 9:00am to 3:00pm from 3/2/21 to 3/5/21. This closure is for construction of a bridge column. No off duty police officers are anticipated to be used in this closure.
These closures are subject to change if needed due to weather.
