New Closures Scheduled

10th Street / Shipyard Drive / Waterfront will be fully closed under the SH146 Clear Creek bridge (Seabrook/Kemah bridge) daily for the remainder of this week, from 9am to 3pm each day. This closure is to create a work zone for bridge widening structural work. Message boards will be placed to assist with directing traffic.

  • The connector ramp from SH146 SB will be closed to all traffic except to and from the Seabrook Marina & Shipyard.

  • Traffic on SH146 SB trying to get to 10th Street / Shipyard Drive on the east side of the bridge will be directed eastbound on Main Street in Seabrook, then right on Todville Road.

  • Traffic on 10th Street / Shipyard Drive on the east side of the bridge trying to get to SH146 SB or the Seabrook Marina and Shipyard will be directed north on Todville Road, then turn left on Main Street in Seabrook, then left at SH146.


The outside (right) northbound lane on SH146 will be closed at 4th Street in Seabrook from 9am to 3pm on Thursday, September 5. This closure is to create a work zone to receive new concrete box culverts.


3rd Street in Seabrook will be fully closed at SH146 from 6am Wednesday, September 11 through 6pm Thursday, September 12. This closure is to install concrete storm sewer boxes under the road. Use Main Street to Cook Avenue to detour around the closure.


DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES
On September 12, 13 and 16 starting at 9pm until 5am each day, the following lanes will be closed to create a work zone for building demolition:

  • Outside (right) northbound lane on SH 146 at the NASA Pkwy intersection.

  • Eastbound lane on Main St. (2nd St.) in Seabrook, adjacent to former Valentine Law building.

Traffic on Main Street will be detoured north on SH146, right on Lidstone Avenue, right on 1st Street, and right on Cook Avenue.
