This post is to notify you of new lane closures for the SH146 project:
The outside (right) northbound lane on SH146 will be closed between 10thStreet / Shipyard Drive and El Mar Lane in Seabrook 9:00am to 3:00pm daily from 11/9/20 to 11/13/20. This closure is for setting new low profile concrete barriers on the east edge of the roadway. 2 off duty police officers are anticipated to be used in this closure.
The outside (right) southbound lane on SH146 will be closed between El Mar Lane and 10th Street / Shipyard Drive in Seabrook 9:00am to 3:00pm daily from 11/9/20 to 11/13/20. This closure is for setting new concrete girders on the Express Bridge. 4 off duty police officers are anticipated to be used in this closure.
The outside (right) southbound lane on SH146 will be closed between Humble Road and Hialeah Street in Seabrook 9:00am to 3:00pm daily on 11/6/20 and from 11/9/20 to 11/13/20. This closure will also take place 7:00am to 4:00pm on 11/7/20 and 11/14/20. This closure is for retaining wall construction access. No off duty police officers are anticipated to be used in this closure.
The outside (right) southbound lane on SH146 will be closed between FM518 and Bel Road in Kemah 9:00am to 3:00pm daily on 11/6/20 and from 11/9/20 to 11/13/20. This closure is for moving concrete barriers. No off duty police officers are anticipated to be used in this closure.
*UPDATED* Full Closures:
FM2094 will be fully closed just west of SH146 5:00am Monday 11/23/20 through 5:00pm Wednesday 11/25/20. This closure is for construction of bridge columns. 4 off duty police officers are anticipated to be used in this closure.
Detour for traffic on SH146: FM2094 can be accessed by turning west on FM518 until you reach FM2094.
Detour for traffic on FM2094: SH146 can be reached by traveling west on FM2094, south on FM270, and east on SH96.
The eastbound lanes of FM518 will be fully closed just west of SH146 9:00pm Sunday through 5:00am Friday each week from 11/8/20 through 11/20/20. The road will be open between 5:00am Friday and 9:00pm Sunday each week. The westbound lanes will remain open. This closure is for construction of bridge foundations. 4 off duty police officers are anticipated to be used in this closure.
No detour needed for traffic on SH146 because westbound FM518 will remain open.
Detour for traffic on FM518: turn south on Kemah Avenue, then east on Bel Road. (Kemah Avenue also known as Evergreen Memorial Parkway. Bel Road also known as Ralph Gordy Avenue)
An alternate detour will be set up for traffic coming from further west: SH146 can be reached by traveling south on FM270 and then east on SH96.
These closures are subject to change if needed due to weather.
