The outside (right) southbound lane on SH146 will be closed on the SH146 Clear Creek bridge (Seabrook/Kemah bridge) from 9pm Monday, September 9 to 5am on Tuesday, September 10. This closure is to create a work zone for setting concrete girders.
The SH146 southbound connector ramp to 10thStreet / Shipyard Drive / Waterfront will be fully closed from 9pm on Monday, September 9 till 5am on Tuesday, September 10. This closure is to create a work zone for setting concrete girders. Message boards will be placed to assist with directing traffic.
Traffic on SH146 SB trying to get to 10th Street / Shipyard Drive or the Seabrook Marina will be directed eastbound on Main Street (formerly 2nd Street), then right on Todville Road.
Traffic on 10th Street / Shipyard Drive trying to get to SH146 SB will be directed north on Todville Road, then turn left on Main Street, then left at SH146.
If this work is delayed, the closures may be moved to the daytime on Tuesday, September 10 from 9am to 3pm.
36-HOUR LANE CLOSURE ON BRIDGE
The outside (right) NORTHBOUND LANE on SH146 will be closed for at least 36 consecutive hours on the existing Clear Creek Bridge (Seabrook/Kemah Bridge) from 11pm on Sunday, September 15 through 12pm on Tuesday, September 17.
The first 12 hours of this closure will allow for pouring a large new section of bridge deck for the northbound widening. The following 24 hours of this closure are to minimize vibrations that could cause cracking in the newly poured deck. The inside (left) lane will remain open so no detour is needed.
Expect delays during the morning rush hour periods.
10th Street / Shipyard Drive / Waterfront will be fully closed under the SH146 Clear Creek bridge (Seabrook/Kemah bridge) from 11pm on Sunday, September 15 through 3pm on Monday, September 16. This closure is to create a work zone for pouring new bridge deck overhead. Message boards will be placed to assist with directing traffic.
The connector ramp from SH146 SB will be closed to all traffic except to and from the Seabrook Marina & Shipyard.
Traffic on SH146 SB trying to get to 10th Street / Shipyard Drive on the east side of the bridge will be directed eastbound on Main Street in Seabrook, then right on Todville Road.
Traffic on 10th Street / Shipyard Drive on the east side of the bridge trying to get to SH146 SB or the Seabrook Marina and Shipyard will be directed north on Todville Road, then turn left on Main Street in Seabrook, then left at SH146.
